Prior to the recent retiree retreat in August, STAN Retiree Representative, Scott Black, proposed a by-law change to the STAN by-laws to include all retirees as part of our membership. This change also addressed the cost of dues amending them from $60 annually to $0. This proposal passed by vote of the current membership. You'll find the by-laws attached with the amendment mentioned in Article IV, Section 1, B on page 2. 

What to do?

Nothing — unless you do not want to be a member. If you do not wish to be a member, please reply to this email expressing those wishes. You'll be removed from the email list and have your intent noted.

If you change your contact information at any time, please let us know via this email address. The agency does NOT share your information with us, so please be sure to keep us in the loop when there are changes. 

What does this get me?

Updates as we hear about them: current retirements, merchandise that can be ordered, legislative bills as they pertain to you as a retiree, and the inclusion in agency happenings that we are able to share. The main goal is to ensure you feel like you are still an important piece of the NSP family -- because you truly are.

What if a retiree I know isn't receiving this email?

Have them reach out to me or Scott and we can verify the email address we have on file. It is incredibly difficult to keep up with all the retirees. Scott has worked very hard to maintain updated information for everyone. Even with this said, we are human, error is inevitable, and it is never our intention to leave anyone out. 🙂
