OK, out first year seems to be going well!!!
Claims are well below what you paid when you were with Meritain without a definite network, and they got discounts when and wherever they could.
Average monthly claims paid per month in 2022 were $41,961, and in 2023 they were $30,135.
You never set up a reserve account for the dental plan, and as of December 31 you should have $57,607. My recommendation is $60,270 (at 2x monthly average claims). Being more aggressive, it would be $75,338 (2 ½ monthly average).
In other words, I think your plan is running great!
