I think that is far from the truth, but, of course, you are welcome to feel however you wish.
It is a constant conversation and topic of discussion - as recent as a call with our team just yesterday, these drugs are very high in cost, they don't have full FDA approval for weight loss of the drugs we would want to cover, the long-term use for weight loss isn't known, and the board will not make a quick rash decision. They are looking into other options as well. - like dietitian guidance and weight loss coaching by a medical provider.  We are a self-funded plan meaning the funds we use to pay claims and prescriptions is directly funded by premiums. The fiduciary responsibility is high to make the best choice for our entire group and plan and until they have more details to make a solid decision to cover the requested drugs, they will likely not cover them. This is why we keep tabs on this - so we can continue to monitor the topic. I have included them on this email as they need to know your feelings and we need full transparency.

I guess our SLEBC board doesn't give a crap about the health of the members.

Hear anything?
