Troop D Members
We are heading towards the time of contract negotiations. We did very well with the last contract in terms of pay. STAN knows this made us competitive with some of the bigger agencies across the state. We also know this won't last long as other agencies increase their pay. more pay will be a hard thing to bargain for this year. With this in mind, what other things would you like to see STAN bargain for?
A few of the items that have been brought up so far from our people in D
Article 13.7 The travel to and from the TA for training. With shift coverage, Troop D has people that will travel further for training or coverage with in our Troop area then they do to drive to the TA.
The question was, Can we do anything in contract that will allow people to have the opportunity to drive back and forth for multi day training (example, in-service) when they can still do it with in their 10 hour work period?
Article 22.5 Sick leave pay out. Members are paid at forty-five percent (45%) of each employee's accrued sick leave, not to exceed 600 hours, shall be contributed into the plan upon retirement.
The question was, Can we eliminate the 600 hours and just make it 45% of accrued sick leave?
Article 21.7 Change to Any employee of the patrol who is assigned to a full 8 or 10 hour shift beginning after 3:00 pm shall be compensated shift differential.
