SLEBC Insured - I wanted to send a quick note as SLEBC has been notified that CHI has officially opted to not renew their contract with Aetna. This is still an ongoing situation and with many similar situations, we have seen agreements reached after the 'deadline'. We will continue to provide updates as received on the status. Meritain has provided a list of providers who have opted to negotiate directly with CHI linked below. Members who are impacted by this negotiation should have already received notification from CHI regarding the potential to be OON. Magellan RX Management has merged with Prime Therapeutics. Additional details regarding upcoming changes are listed below. New names for your PBM and pharmacy coming this fall: Magellan Rx Management, your current pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), merged with Prime Therapeutics in late 2022. Effective Oct. 1, Magellan Rx Management will become “Prime Therapeutics Management” and on Sept. 16 Magellan Rx Pharmacy will become “Prime Therapeutics Pharmacy.” You will receive additional information from their pharmacy if you currently use its services. * What this means for you: * On Sept. 16, the new website will be primetherapeutics.com. Updates for Troop D

Troop D Members We are heading towards the time of contract negotiations. We did very well with the last contract in terms of pay. STAN knows this made us competitive with some of the bigger agencies across the state. We also know this won't last long as other agencies increase their pay. more pay will be a hard thing to bargain for this year. With this in mind, what other things would you like to see STAN bargain for? A few of the items that have been brought up so far from our people in D Article 13.7 The travel to and from the TA for training. With shift coverage, Troop D has people that will travel further for training or coverage with in our Troop area then they do to drive to the TA. The question was, Can we do anything in contract that will allow people to have the opportunity to drive back and forth for multi day training (example, in-service) when they can still do it with in their 10 hour work period? Article 22.5 Sick leave pay out. Members are paid at forty-five percent (45%) of each employee's accrued sick leave, not to exceed 600 hours, shall be contributed into the plan upon retirement. The question was, Can we eliminate the 600 hours and just make it 45% of accrued sick leave? Article 21.7 Change to Any employee of the patrol who is assigned to a full 8 or 10 hour shift beginning after 3:00 pm shall be compensated shift differential. STAN Board Nominations - Treasurer, WVP, A, B, and HQ - DUE June 15!

It's the time of year for STAN Board nominations and elections. The statewide Treasurer position is open to all active Trooper and Sergeant members while the Western VP position is only open to active Trooper and Sergeant members in Troop C, D, and E. Area Representatives for Troops, A, B, and H are also attached and are specific to those areas. The deadline for nominations is the close of business on June 15, 2024. Nominations must be signed by both the nominating party and the nominee to be valid. Ballots will be sent out by June 16, 2024, and must be returned by June 20, 2024.
